COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES, INC. (CESI) is owned by Christine Killen Dwyer. She began in the industry in the early eighties, taking a fiber optic splice course. She became one of the first full-time female fiber optic splicing and testing technicians in the country. Christine has owned and operated a splicing-contracting company since 1986, and started a material supply company in 1991. Christine has an excellent working knowledge of products to be sold and skills needed for operating a successful business.
CESI has a full office and warehouse staff who are sent through a fiber optic training course conducted by CESI, at the beginning of their employment. We also provide additional training for them on copper, electrical, and coax. The courses are designed to familiarize every employee with products they will be selling and their general use. Soon after their hire dates, we strive to send them out in the field to get working knowledge of fiber optics systems, copper, electrical, and coax. Using this method, we have successfully developed a sales and shipping staff that can answer many technical questions on how products are used.	hello	CESI is listed as a small business by the SBA, and is certified as a WOMAN'S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (WBE) by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council and Women. CUSTOMIZED KITS are a specialty of our company, providing efficiency and limiting waste for our customers. Most of our customers have their own preferred set-up in part numbers for restoration, closure, connector tool, and cleaning kits. CESI can provide the right amount of parts and specific tools customized to our customer's supply needs for a particular back-bone, on-site restoration, or any installation. Customers will no longer need to search their "black hole warehouses" for products, or have odd inventory left over after the job. This improves efficiency, by saving time and money for our customers. CESI provides a list of all products that could be needed for the specific type of job. Any item can be added or deleted from this list to create a customized kit for our customers. This operation has been very helpful for the management of our customer's warehouse inventory, where space is limited and product tends to disappear.
